S&T Hot Product 2011
The finest available focuser for large sensors: 105,000 steps with 85 nm per step
Precision drive screws guarantee superior positional accuracy
High-load-bearings support adjustment screws
The Zero Tilt Adapter™ is an FLI adapter design that eliminates the common deficiencies found in most astronomical adapters. The ZTA™ adapter system employs a

circular spring that evenly distributes the pressure of three set screws against the ZTA™ dovetailed surface. The resulting clamping force between the two

machined surfaces results in zero tilt, zero adapter marring and a complete elimination of problems associated with loose connections.
Custom linear bearings provide extreme torsional rigidity
Guaranteed consistent performance in any orientation
Fully enclosed electrical and mechanical components
Adds only 1.25” (3.2 cm) to back focus distance
Maximum Payload: 25 lbs. (11.3 kg)
Payload at 6” Distance: 10 lbs. (4.5 kg)
Minimum Travel: 0.35” (8.9 mm)
Number of Steps: 105,000

FLI cooled CCD cameras and accessories are designed and manufactured in the state of New York, USA. Customers may buy directly from FLI or through one of our resellers in more than 20 countries.

FLI began operations in 1998 as a supplier of cooled CCD cameras for astronomical research. Today we operate from four facilities in two locations. Our Binghamton NY office is dedicated to Atlas focuser and high speed filter wheel production, as well as software and mechanical engineering. Our three Lima NY facilities (just south of Rochester) include a dedicated engineering facility and a state-of-the-art production facility. Our on-site staff includes a talented group of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.

FLI supplies cameras worldwide for astrophotography and astronomical research, DNA sequencing, gel documentation, chemiluminescence, transmission electron microscopy, x-ray, spectroscopy, forensics, and a wide range of other applications. Our cameras support a wide selection of sensors, from the very small to the very large. Sensors include front illuminated, back-illuminated, frame-transfer and interline. Supported sensor manufacturers include Sony, e2v Technologies, ON Semi (formerly Kodak), and Hamamatsu. Our Freedom of Choice poster shows FLI-supported sensors in actual size (http://www.flicamera.com/pdf/ccdposter.pdf).

FLI offers more than a dozen models of color filter wheels for astronomy, including the unique CenterLine with centered aperture (S&T Hot Product 2012).
